Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to this website and to ebooks and other digital products purchased from Auspaint Industries.

1. About Auspaint Industries
Auspaint Industries is a Western Australian education and publishing brand founded by Corey Hicks. It publishes practical painting guides and related content based on Corey’s trade experience. Auspaint Industries does not provide painting or building services through this website.
2. Website use
You may use this website for lawful personal or business-information purposes. You must not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape content at scale, or use the website in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
3. Product descriptions and availability
We aim to describe every ebook and digital product accurately. Cover images, previews and examples are illustrative. Product titles, inclusions, formats, prices and availability may change before you place an order. The product description shown at checkout forms part of your purchase.
4. Prices, orders and payment
Prices are shown in the currency stated at checkout and include or exclude taxes as disclosed there. Payment must be made using an available payment method. An order is accepted when payment is confirmed and we provide an order confirmation or download access. We may decline or cancel an order where there is an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, unauthorised payment or inability to supply; if payment has been taken, it will be returned.
5. Digital delivery
Digital products are supplied by download link, email, customer account or another method stated at checkout. You are responsible for providing a correct email address, maintaining access to your account and using compatible software and devices. If your file or access link does not arrive within the stated delivery time, contact us using the details provided with your order.
6. Your licence
When you purchase an ebook, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download, store and use it for your own personal education or individual professional reference. You may keep reasonable backup copies and print one copy for your own use.
You must not share the file or download link; upload it to a shared drive, website or platform; resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute it; remove ownership notices; or reproduce substantial parts for training, publication, commercial products or AI model training without prior written permission. Organisations requiring access for more than one person must obtain an appropriate licence.
7. Copyright and intellectual property
The website, ebooks, text, photographs, illustrations, designs, branding and other materials are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Except for the licence above and rights that the law gives you, no ownership or intellectual property rights are transferred to you.
8. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law
Our products and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Except where required by law, we do not provide a refund because you changed your mind after a digital product has been supplied or accessed. If a product is faulty, materially different from its description, cannot be accessed as promised, or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, contact us with your order details so the issue can be assessed and an appropriate remedy provided.
9. Educational information—not site-specific advice
Companion videos are short illustrative clips for viewing alongside the relevant book content. They are not complete step-by-step guides and may not show every preparation stage, safety precaution or finishing step. Read the accompanying instructions and follow current manufacturer guidance and local safety requirements before starting work.
The content is general educational information drawn from practical painting experience. It is not an inspection, quotation, specification, engineering opinion, legal opinion or substitute for advice tailored to your property, surface, health, skills or local requirements.
Products, conditions, laws, standards, licensing rules and accepted methods vary by location and change over time. Always check current local requirements and follow the manufacturer’s instructions, product label, technical data sheet and safety data sheet. Where work is regulated, hazardous, beyond your competence or uncertain, stop and engage a suitably qualified or licensed professional.
10. Safety and responsibility
Painting and preparation can involve heights, ladders, electricity, hazardous substances, dust, lead, asbestos, mould, solvents, tools and other risks. You are responsible for assessing the job, selecting appropriate equipment and protective measures, and deciding whether you can perform the work safely. Do not rely on an ebook as your only safety control.
11. Results and warranties
Results depend on the existing surface, preparation, products, application, environment and user skill. We do not promise a particular finish or outcome. Any examples, project descriptions or testimonials are not a guarantee that another project will achieve the same result.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Auspaint Industries is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of the website or educational content. Our liability is limited only to the extent the law permits. This clause does not exclude liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
13. Third-party services and links
Checkout, payment, file delivery or links may be provided by third parties. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply. A link to another website does not mean we control or endorse all of its content.
14. Privacy and purchase information
Information provided during a purchase may be used to process payment, supply the product, provide support, prevent misuse and meet legal or record-keeping obligations. Payment providers may process payment details directly. Do not send sensitive payment information through social media or ordinary email.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time by posting the revised version and its effective date. The terms presented when you place an order will apply to that purchase, subject to any rights that cannot be excluded by law.
16. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia and applicable Commonwealth laws. The parties submit to the courts with jurisdiction in Western Australia, without limiting any consumer right to bring a claim elsewhere where the law permits.
For an order, access problem or rights request, use the contact details supplied with your order or the contact channel linked in the website footer. Please include your name, order number and a short description of the issue.
